I know that dogs can eat canned pumpkin, obviously not the filling can just regular canned pumpkin. Heres my question, we are gonna carve pumpkins for Halloween, can we give any part of what is carved to the dog to eat?
Thanks!!!

I've let my dogs have fresh pumpkin and I'd never give him canned pumpkin as a treat! If it's in a can it has to have preservatives. I'm excited to carve pumpkins this week and give Cosmo his first taste :) obviously don't give your dog a ridiculous amount but pumpkin should be fine!

I have never fed my own dog pumpkin but I have always heard a bunch of things about feeding pumpkin. (all these things are positive) Also, I commonly see treats at pet stores that are made with pumpkin. Of course don't go over board, but from what I gathered it is a good safe yummy treat for a dog.

Last year we had a lot of pumpkin so I dehydrated it like the sweet potato chews. The dogs loved them. I fed them as treats. If you make a lot refrigerate them because left out the mold.
