We have a 7 year old puggle. He’s an odd one but he’s normally pretty active.

A few weeks ago, he started peeing in the house, a lot and drinking a massive amount of water. Took him to the vet and they did pee tests on him and said everything came back good.

Problem didn’t get better, so brought him back and they did blood and another pee test and, again, they saw nothing abnormal. They assumed that he might have gotten into something that upset his stomach. Give it a few days and if it doesn’t get better they’d do x-rays and such.

In the last week or so, now his eating has gotten weird. He only eats once a day, as opposed to two times, and it’s never the full amount. Also we’ve noticed, I’m guessing because of the lack of eating, he’s losing some weight.

Needless to say I’m making that follow up appointment.

Some household background, nothing’s changed schedule wise, etc. out upstairs tenant (my aunt) recently got a little dog but they don’t really interact much or see each other. We also have a 13 year old puggle who’s a bit of a grumpy old man, but doesn’t impact our little one.

The vet has checked for diabetes, kidney and liver function, etc and nothing. Can anyone think of any other things that might be causing this that I can have he vet check out?

I would think its time for a specialist. I would start with an Internist and then follow his or her recommendations.
