Yep I belong to Purina for professionals and had to order my dog food elsewhere because it will not be available until the end of this month. There have also been some shortages on certain prescription dog and cat food. When this happened before I actually ended up buying dog food off of ebay would you believe.

Luckily I was able to get a couple of 40lb bags at Chewey for only a few dollars more than I had been paying.
I have 3 good sized dogs to feed, and this comes at a bad time for everyone. If you can, I suggest buying extra to keep on hand. Apparently the worker shortage and Covid are taking their toll again.

I think, although I don't really keep close track, that I spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 USD a month on food (and some of the treats) for my dogs and my cat. I have two dogs but both are on the small side. I don't buy any food that is under a four star rating on the Dogfoodadvisor. I add toppers of various types, usually canned food for the dogs, just to keep things interesting for them. Some of the time I use cooked chicken breast cut into tiny pieces for training treats, as that is healthier that most purchased treats and much cheaper than most good quality manufactured treats.
then I spend another $120 (?) or so for medications and supplements for one of the dogs each month. I would have to do math to work out what it really is, and I don't math.
Like most of us, though, I don't really care what the dogs cost me, because I would rather have them than any of the other things I could be spending the money on. I don't eat out or go to movies or buy things I don't need. I like it this way.
