I find it absolutely heartwarming and fascinating to watch these two play like this!

Oakley's skills have refined just a bit, and he now 'get's it' when Cache asks him to calm down, take a break for a few minutes!

I don't think I could have found a better match/playmate/friend for Cache (or me)! They are so similar in nature, they love to chase and run, wrestle, and tease each other - a couple of 'rowdy boys' at times. But, on the flip side, more often than not, they have a calm, more settled side where they will choose to do their own thing - take a nap, chew on a 'bone', or hang out for some 'hugs' and 'one on one' time with me.
It is so funny to watch Oakley when Cache is 'birding' - chasing the birds, trying to keep them out of the yard and his 'air space' as they fly back and forth - he stops and stares, then will bolt after Cache, clearly having no idea what game Cache is playing, but 'Hey, might as well join in the fun!'

If your leaves have started falling, watch them both try to herd those moving "things" that are invading their yard!

It will be interesting to see Oakley's reaction to snow, a good frost triggers the zoomies for him, so I can just imagine what is going to happen when it snows. (I can wait!)
Cache's first snow happened when he was about 6 months old, and we got an inch or so over night. Before even going off the back porch, check it out, stop and stare, check carefully with a paw, 'Okay, it didn't bite me.' .... proceed with caution.... smell it, taste it, walk in it, 'Why is it so darn cold?' 'Maybe if I eat enough of it I can get rid of it.' or 'Maybe, just roll in it, and see how it feels.' 'It's okay, it's fun!' time for zoomies!!' The next time it snowed, big fluffy flakes, Cache was out there try to catch all he could before they hit the ground but soon realized it was much more fun just to run and play in it.
