On Sunday morning, my 5 month old pup would not eat his food, and about 10 minutes after getting up, that familiar vomiting sound! Because his tummy was empty, he just vomited a bit of mucus, but it was pink tinged.

He did go on to eat after about an hour, and has eaten all his meals without incident since then. No more vomiting.

But, I'm wondering, is there a benign explanation for why it was pink-tinged? I keep thinking something is causing him to bleed somewhere, but can you think of any other explanation?

He seems fine . . .

A pink tinge sounds like a fresh, small bleed. Could have been a small bleed from the force of vomiting. If you see black stools however I would take the pup in to see the vet.

If it happens again I would call the vet!
