Hello! I adopted my Dutch shepherd mix almost a year ago, and something she's always done is randomly stop in the middle of licking someone or something. She'll be licking away, and then just pause with her tongue flat on whatever or whoever it is, and after about 3 seconds, starts back up like nothing happened. Her ears don't perk up or anything when this happens, she just totally freezes. Is this just a cute quirk or a cause for concern?

Sorry for the delayed response, and I hope you're still hanging out with us on the forum! This is something my previous dog would do, and it was never a cause for concern. It was almost like a thought would cross his mind, he would pause, and then continue. It was just a cute characteristic behavior.
