I have never been one to ask for help, but here I am. Our lab is three years old and is my daughter's heart dog. Sleeps with her every night and is her shadow. We are all beyond devastated. I am asking for help with funds of the procedure to save his life.

Welcome to the forum. The gofundme link isn't working. But perhaps you could introduce yourself a bit more and maybe explain what type of emergency surgery your dog needs. Also have you checked out care credit or asked if your vet would be willing to take payments?

Go online and google "financial aid for veterinary care". There are a lot of organizations you can apply to. I think this might be one.

Also check with your local Shelter, they often can offer assistance in cases like yours.

We used Care Credit when our Yellow Lab, Buddy, had an intestinal obstruction that required surgery. He would have surely died without it. CC paid for I think $500, then there was significant out-of-pocket too.

Thankfully, he survived that and we enjoyed another couple of years with him. He was our good boy and we loved him dearly. He passed away early this year at the ripe old age of 16.
