Hi, I'm just curious, does anyone else have a dog with an omentum bubble? My standard poodle is almost 6 months old and has an omentum bubble trapped outside his abdomen. He had a small hernia which healed naturally but some of the omentum fluid was trapped outside the abdominal wall, it's kind of in a pocket under his skin and moves when his skin moves, is hard, and doesn't bother him at all. I was wondering how other dogs with the same condition have done throughout life. Thanks

in other words, an umbilical hernia. Very common. Not usually a problem unless very large (enough to pass a finger into the abdomen along with the skin of the hernia). Often repaired while dog is spayed or neutered, though mostly for cosmetic reasons.
