Howdy all! A retired old coot here that has had golden retrievers for many years, (along with some other dogs.)

I discovered this place while trying to get some information on an Elizabethan Collar. Due to a recent problem, I have to keep one on my dog for a few weeks.

So, rather than using any of the old ones I had stored here, (found they were in bad shape,) I went out and bought a new one. The problem is, that when the dog bumps the collar into something fairly hard it comes apart. Those little black plastic clips just aren't doing the job.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I've had to use that good old stand-by for all things, duct tape. It's a bit of a hassle to take on and off when needed but works. I ran a strip of tape along the seam where the two edges come together and made sure it overlapped at the top and bottom.

Welcome. :)
