Hello! I'm new here so forgive me if I broke any rules...

I recently adopted a purebred Dalmatian on Monday, she was born on Aug 11th but recently weighed in at a whopping 10 pounds at the vet. Is this normal for a Dalmatian? Her parents look about average size. I'm just curious about how big she will get, the online puppy calculator predicts her to be about 20 pounds fully grown, that's unheard of!

Anyways, thanks!! :)

10 pounds at 3 months old is certainly not a huge puppy.

For some comparison, when I picked up my Aussie at 8 weeks, he weighed just over 10 pounds, as an adult, he is about 55 pounds. My Border Collie was about 6 pounds, and now weighs in at about 32 pounds.

20 pounds as an adult female Dalmatian would be quite small. I'd expect her more in the 40-50 pound range.

Think that is about normal for a medium size breed.
