I picked my new puppy (6mths) up from a breader last night she travelled home well (196miles) when we got out the car she refused to move, I picked her up and put her in the cage, however she hasn't made a sound or moved a d refused to eat,drink or come out of the cage, what do I do ???

She is probably really overwhelmed and scared.

First, is she crate trained? If not, that will add another level of new and scary things for her so maybe rethink that.

If she is crate trained, put her food and water in there so she can get them when she wants them, and leave her in peace to start getting used to her new surroundings. I'd leave the crate door open too so she can make the choice to come out and explore when she feels brave enough.

Six months is relatively old for getting a puppy, what is her background?

I would definitely not put her in a cage at that state. If she likes being in the crate let her have it as a safe space but don’t close the door on her. As JoanneF said, she’s probably very scared so she will need time and patience. What’s her story? How have you handled the situation?
