My 13 year old dog had a very swollen tummy about 3 months ago. He acted fine and ate just great as well. He had problems getting around though. This went on for about a month and a half. One day, within a 24 hour time period it went away. We were very shocked by it.
About two months later we noticed it was slowly coming back. He now has a bit of a swollen tummy again.
Unfortunately, the vet had no answer the first time, but did think it may have been a block in his urinary tract. Needless to say we have not been back yet for this round of swelling.
Please help if anyone has the same issues as us and our boy.

It could be many things and your best bet is to get him to your vet. I've seen worms, bloat, congestive heart failure, heartworms, and gas, cause a swollen belly. I'm not a vet and those are just the ones I've either seen cause it or have heard about, I'm sure there are other causes.

If you don't think your regular vet is going to be able to help you then go to a different one.
