I have a large black lab, a little over weight, and she ate a whole pork rib bone. It was a larger rib and had a bone of anywhere from 3-5 inches. this occured about a half an hour ago but she seems to be fine. I know this can not be good. What should i do?

Keep an eye on her, most of the time stuff like this don't affect the dog, but if it does, you'll know. And if you are really worried, go to the vet and have him/her check out your dog, if only for your peace of mind.

I would disagree...I have seen several dogs have serious obstructions from eating rib bones. While there is a chance that it will pass, there is also a chance of a serious obstruction.

If it happened in the last hour you may want to induce vomiting...

If the bone doesn't come up you'll want to have your vet take an xray of her tomorrow and see if the rib is in her stomach still.

You should call your vet and ask their oppinion.
I would think if it's been an half hour and nothing seemed to have happend her stomach acids must have gotten to it.
Just keep a close eye on her.
