I have a 4 yr old rescue Aussie mix Bella, whom we have had since she was 12 weeks old. She has been the "bell of the ball" so to say for the last 4 years. 2 days ago we brought home our 2nd rescue - a 2 yr old lab/husky mix Abby. Both dogs are relatively mellow but Bella seems to be having a difficult time sharing. Whatever toy or chew Abby has, Bella goes after, causing Abby to growl at her. I give them each the same toy, same chew, feed them at the same time etc. but Bella still wants whatever Abby has. I would really appreciate any advice on how to integrate our new pup into the family without uprooting Bella's routine and things. They have shown no aggression toward each other but they do play a little rough for my liking with some growling and mouthing, but I believe that is normal. I really just want to do the best thing for both of them and again would love any suggestions and advice from other 2 dog families.
