I feed a clove of garlic with his meal every other day and have had no problems. He's raw fed (PMR), so I probably wouldn't need to be feeding anything specifically for fleas typically, but we care for a colony of stray and feral cats, a couple of whom like to come inside in the evenings to eat. So the garlic is a precaution.
