I am having a very difficult time naming my home based business. It is pet boarding with a pet cemetery. I live outside of a small town in NW Montana on the prairie. I don't want to take anyone else's name though! Here are some words I like.
pal, heaven,companion,paws,angels,pet,prairie,loyal,acres,faithful,
please help

Just by mixing up your words..
Loyal Acres
Paws n Pals
Angel Pets
Prairie Pets
Heavenly Acres
Faithful Paws

All followed by something like "pet boarding and cemetary"..well actually that sounds kinda morbid..we'll babysit them and bury em? Might wanna leave that last part off..

Not to be rude, and trust me I am not lol, I honestly cannot think of a name that would sound great to let people know you board animals, and bury them.

Maybe run is at 2 separate businesses? Like... Heavenly Acres (nice name cheeks) for the burial service (which btw I hope you have a license for) and Prairie Pets (again real nice one cheeks!) for the boarding.

I also have to agree with Pawz, I just couldn't imagine myself or anyone I know would really feel comfortable boarding my dog somewhere that is a combination of the 2 plus if I showed up and saw people crying their eyes out as I'm going in I don't think that would make me comfortable leaving my dog there. But I do think it's a good idea :)

So both business's sound good but different names then? How far away should the cemetery be from the small boarding (maybe 8 dogs). & should the cemetery be private, like not along our country road or in vierw from the boarding facility?

Honestly I don't know how much land you have to work with but if possible I would try putting the cemetary as far from the boarding facility as possible and atleast not really easy to see. And I think maybe a small sign by the road wouldn't hurt but don't make it sound like the 2 are combined like a big sign for the Boarding and a small sign with the name of the cemetary and I think a lot of people prefer a private cemetary because it will be less likely to be messed with. I do honestly think both businesses are a good idea and should be successful. :) Sorry I don't mean to sound pushy if I do, just adding my 2 cents. ;)

ok That sounds good.I have 10 acres to work with. The boarding facility is close to the road & on 4 acres. so if I put the cemetery off the road with it's own entry back behind the facility 600 feet & behind a row of bushes then that would be ok?

That sounds good to me. :) If you still wanted people to be able to find it easily you could do a little stone pathway or maybe an archway entrance Between the bushes. Again just an idea. ;)

Just out of curiousty have you checked with your local laws and insurance company to make sure you're even allowed to run a pet cemetery. While it sounds like a nice idea and it's probably profitable as well, there's lots of laws and regulations you have to be aware of. In many places it's biohazard to bury a pet on your propetry and there's particular methods you must follow to properly bury an animal. Were you planing on doing cremations or taking pets ashes?

I have called around here in our county & nobody acts or sais it's a big deal. I already have 15 dogs, puppies, cats & horses buried of my own here so i thought it's a nise gesture for those that don't have that option in city limits.I will take cremations but I will not do cremating. I really can't see having my pet burned up.
