I have a 10 year old Golden Doodle. We take very good care of him and bathe him often. Over the past few months he's developed an odor which I can only describe as sort of a vomit smell. He's perfectly clean so it's nothing that he stepped in, and it's not flatulence. When I walk into the room where he's spent the night the smell is overwhelming and needless to say very unpleasant.

Any ideas?

Goldens tend to have a bit of a "doggy odour", so even if he's part Golden, you'll probably get some of that coming through. What do you feed him?

I would sniff around and see if you can determine where the odor originates. A few common odors are:
- mouth - teeth, dental problems
- ears - ear infection
- anal - anal gland infection
- all over - skin infection/ disease

And of course, have a vet take a look. Good luck. Hope everything turns out okay!
