Good, at least you know its the crate and not you leaving specifically. Sorry he's still a'pooin'....i hate bringing out the carpet cleaner.
do this a few times... get out, walk a few steps then get in again, treat/praise...etc etc...
anytime the dog doesn't react, reward them.
You'll look like an idiot training this btw...my neighbors stare at me when I did this with Tippy.
Same thing, go slow, if the dog fails, back up a step, or break it down into smaller steps.
If she barks when the car stops, sit there and wait it out (don't look at her or move)...she'll have to take a breath and stop for a moment, when she does say "yes" and funnel treats. Once shes good at that you would do the same thing as you'd do with the door in the house. Get out of the car and then immediately back in.. and treat/praise( before the dog can react)...Thank you. Now what do I do when I have her in the car and go into a store really quick? She barks like crazy so I don't take her with me much.
