Help! My 3 dogs have already been to a vet dermatologist and tested negative on the skin scrapes but they are constantly itching, licking, scratching and shaking their heads. Has anyone encountered this?

It sounds like allergies, which could be food related or environmental. Vaccines can cause itching due to causing the immune system to overreact, and depending on how many have been given may not be correctable. All a process of elimination to track down.

An easy thing to try is to add an omega 3 supplement to their food. Ours tends to have dry skin, and the omega 3 has helped, in our case.

Did your vet offer any medications to help the itching while you try to find the cause? My dog has environmental allergies, we think. He will bite until he gets sores "hot spots".

We use apoquel but there are other medications. like cytopoint.
