My dog stopped humping when we got a puppy. what?

Dexter is a year old and one of his favorite activities used to be humping. Me, other people, blankets, especially when were trying to relax.

Then we got Amo, who is 9 weeks, Dexter just stopped humping all together. We joke that he thinks he had a baby.

But that also kind of seems like the only explanation. Has anyone else experienced this

I had the opposite happen we got a female puppy months old and our two year old (at the time) male who never humped when we had him would try to hump the puppy so we had to break him of that.

Is your dog recently neutered?

How did you break that? We're having that problem right now. 18 month old humping the new 4 1/2 month old.

Well we just told him of for it and made it clear he'snot supposed to do that but still sometimes when they get all riled up in play he will do it its been a whille but he did it the other day
