Do pups develop immunity after acquiring parvo? 1 week after my pup had his 1st parvo vaccine, he got the virus and was admitted to my local clinic. When he was released, the vet says that the pup should be vaccinated again from the start or as she stated "back to zero", is that the case or I'm just being ripped off? (pet clinics here are notorious for milking pet owners of money.)

depends on how old your puppy is. If very young, I would act as if this illness were a monthly vaccine, and continue on in another 3 weeks with another vaccine until he is 16 weeks old. If his older than that already, I might just give a single booster in 3 weeks and then done. But if he's only 8-9 weeks for example, this episode, though possibly intensive, may not confer immunity for very long (and some say not at all) as your puppy's immune system is possibly still too underdeveloped to give him lasting protection from this virus.
