I rescued her three days ago. She seems to have no issues with previous abuse: extremely playful, body language of a stress free dog and has a big backyard to roam around as she'd like. I love her and her affectionate personality already (which compared to other breeds has been the most noticeable thing. Just so affectionate and constantly wanting/giving love)
However... she seems like a terrible Guard dog. Twice now I've had strangers come to my house. Both obvious drug addicts begging for money and had me quite scared. I was standing with her so maybe that's the reason but she didn't even care. She was lying down, chilling.
So just curious, is it common for some bullmastiffs to just not have that guarding instinct? I love her anyway but of course I would have liked for her to give that deep bark to scare of bad guys. Not a big deal tho but still curious

It's only been three days, her true personality maybe won't show yet. But it is possible to reach a dog to bark on cue.
