Hello, my dog is 11.5 years old ,mid sized and I check his body daily , the day before yesterday I discovered a lump near the bottom of the penis on the side, (see the picture 1) the lump was warm and it should have came and grew in within 24 hrs because I checked his that area the night before that. Next I called the vet but before his visit his testicles got a bit swollen , I do not have a picture of his swollen testicles, and pus started coming out of his penis. The vet came in and he told me that the lump felt like it was a tumor.and he told me that he had some sort of infection. So he started treating him with anti-inflammatory and antibiotics , now on the day 3 since I discovered the lump the swelling is gone there was still pus coming from the penis the vet tried to get it all out and gave him more anti-inflammatory and antibiotics and this is what it looks like now. The lump is still there I don't think that it has grown. The doc said that once the infection is gone we'll try to treat the tumor. He also said that the infection could be a result of an injury.

What do you guys think that lump is ? if it's a tumor , it should've been growing gradually but it just showed up one day without notice and I think the lump is related to infection not to an injury. I didn't really saw my dog get hurt or on in pain.

All this time my dog has been eating well but feels a bit down maybe because of the medications.

Help me ,tell me what do you think that lump is, I live in in India it's very hard to find the diagnostics for animals here.

Thanks in advance

Only a vet can diagnose your dog's lump. If there is pus, there is an infection of some kind and, that requires a vet to determine what kind it is and prescribe the proper treatment, Take your dog to the vet.

I know ,I am consulting with a vet who is treating him and another one for second opinion, but it's hard to find someone who can run the tests on him like the doc told me that an ultrasound would be nice. I am working on getting it done but it's hard here to find someone who can do that , I just want to figure out what is it. And get all the information I can.
