Hi everyone, this is really random but have you seen a white and gray budgie? Budgies are parakeets in case you dont know... And about a week ago I saw a budgie in my neighborhood. It was not wild because all the wild ones are in Australia and they are green to hide from predators. The one I saw was white with gray patches on it head. I think its a female but I am not sure because it was to far away to tell. I made a trap that does not hurt the bird and put it outside and I am playing budgie sounds from my computer. Is anyone missing a white and gray budgie? Or if you live in the U.S.A have you seen one on the loose? Please post to this if you have seen/caught/heard a budgie somewhere.

There are also hundreds escaped from apartments and living in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago; they have good taste as this is an upscale neighborhood!

There are going to be many different breeds of pet birds on the loose because people toss em out when they get annoyed by them and others escape out of homes :) here we have love birds galore everywhere.

And no one put up lost posters or any thing so hey dont even care! And If I dont hear for them am thinking of keeping it or giving it to my friend that is a bird expert. I mean if they dont bother to put up lost posters why would I put up found posters. Anyone can say that its their budgie. I hope I can catch it before it becomes a meal.

we have wild flocks that started as escapees. Most of the ones that are able to survive are the parent raised or the ones have gone ferel from a lack of human interaction. I usually test the waters with a peanut to determine if they need a human or if they are ferrel enough to survive.

Its warm here so I dont have to worry about the weather but there are hawks in this nieghborhood along with other birds of prey. He is not leaving the nieghborhood wich is good because it makes a bigger chance of catching him. My friend already asked the people on a budgie forum if they were missing a budgie and no one was. I put some millit in the trap cause what budgie can resist that? I hope I get him before he becomes hawk food!
