Hey guys

Just came back from a walk with my 10 year old coonhound. He went to sniff something and his back leg was on a log, which gave out and he rolled his leg. Now he has a limp. Not sure what may be wrong, any help is appreciated. He can still walk but not without a limp. As a puppy he got into a car accident, and that specific leg was injured the worst. So that leg is already weak to begin with. Could this new injury be a hip or knee problem?

Thank
Nick

Update: he has been walking and jogging ine around the house but when he walks slowly it seems that his leg is stiff and he has a slight limp.

take him to the vet right away! it could be just a bruise or it could be a torn ACL and the longer you put it off, the worse the injury will become and more complicated to treat. dogs are often bad at showing pain, so even a slight limp could be a sign of a much bigger problem!!
