I decided to make a fresh thread for Keave since I have been gone for some time. I also feel that most of my photos in the other thread are probably gone now, due to Photobucket changing their format or whatever. So now I am using Imgur.

For those of you who don't know, Keave is my Timneh African Grey! He is a very naughty little guy but I love him dearly! If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Or if you just like talking parrots I will definitely love talking with you!

I have had Keave since April 25, 2014!

"The origins of the Timneh African Grey Parrot are concentrated in the western coastal regions of Guinea, Ghana and the Ivory Coast of Africa.

Timneh African Grey Parrots begin to talk at approximately 6 months to a year. It is believed that they talk sooner than Congo African Greys because Timneh African Grey Parrots mature quicker. Timneh African Grey Parrots are great talkers and can have an extensive vocabulary of hundreds of words. They mimic many voices and sounds. Unlike the Congo, their voices are not an exact replica of the person's voice they are copying. Timneh African Grey Parrots have their own special little voice - I like to refer to it as a "munchkin" voice as it is so cute. And yes, they do talk in context!"

Keave's name is pronounced "Key-ah-vee."

"African Grey Parrots are loving, playful, have the intelligence level of up to a five-year old with the temperament of a two-year old, and bring joy and laughter into the lives of all who have the pleasure of knowing one. African Greys are known as the "Einstein's" of the parrot world because of their incredible talking ability."
