Is my Husky going blind?

I heard about cataract today and went check his eyes just for the lulz but i noticed his left one is half orange and half white and i cant remember if it was like this always or was it fully orange.

The thing is, he dosn't bump onto anything and it really dosn't seem that he has any problem.

Should a vet check him?

My Aussie also has heterochromia (two eyes two different colours). Specifically sectoral heterochromia, where the two eyes are not completely different. His blue eye has a large brown spot on it as well. For what it's worth, cataracts make the eye look cloudy/milky.
It also happens in humans, so no, I doubt your dog is going blind. :)

well, certainly not a cataract... but that coloration is indeed peculiar, though multicolored iris are not that rare in dogs (particularly huskys) but that is one of the more unusual patterns. Seems odd, too, that you would not have noticed this before had your dog's eye always looked like that. If that is a new change, I would definitely have it looked at.
