Hi everyone. My husband has been deployed for the past 7 months, so he has never met our 6 month old bulldogge Diesel. I was wondering how to handle the introduction, as well as the first few weeks after my husband's return. Diesel is very protective over me and doesn't like to share my attention, so I want to make the transition as smooth as possible. Thanks in advance!

My husband also spends most of his overseas for business, so I have also experienced introducing new dogs to him. Something that has worked for us is to make the introductions outside the home such as in a park. After we've spent some time together outside, including taking a walk together, then we head inside together.

Pockets full of yummy treats. Just have him drop them on the floor. Let the treats do their job and let the pup come to him. As soon as the pup comes to him have a treat party lots of good boys.
