We're getting ready to move out of our apartment and into a house (YAY!) and I've been thinking about what new tags I would get for Molly. I really love the hand-stamped tags on etsy. In addition to the typical hanging tag, I would also like to get her a nameplate that attaches to her harness. She tends to be shy, so I worry that she wouldn't allow anyone to get close enough to read the tags hanging at her chest if she were to get lost. A nameplate on her back would be more visible.

These are the only two I've found:

I would probably have it read "I am loved" with our phone number.

I am concerned about how it would attach to the harness. Would putting holes in a nylon harness to allow it to be riveted compromise the strength of the harness? One of these listings doesn't come with rivets, are they something you'd be able to buy at a hardware store or something?

Is this a good idea? Since our phone number would be extra visible to everyone Molly meets, I can't decide if the potential benefits would outweigh the potential drawbacks.

I think it would be nice to have a name tag on a harness, but like for us it would not be very usable. The only times she has a harness is on when I am with her walking or playing.
Her collar is on most the time so I have a name and phone number tag on that. Also if you do not like the tag, you can get nice leather collars with the name put in it.
