My best friend and I went on a camping trip to the Ozarks this weekend, so we took Pinkman and Bitsy with us! Neither dog has been camping before, both are deaf, Bitsy is blind and only 6 months old. We were pretty sure it was going to be an absolute disaster but it went great! Both girls were super well behaved the whole trip, including the 4 hour drives to and from the camp!

We love to canoe so we took Pinkie on her first canoe trip (B stayed back with friends). She LOVED it and we ended up doing about 20 miles! She barked at fish, dragged her snout in the water and slept in the boat. She even did great when we hit some rapids and almost capsized. We had a great time, and I couldn't be prouder! Here are some pics from the trip!

Canoeing!

Stopping on a sand bar to play fetch

Happy campers!

That looks like so much fun :), I wish I could go camping with my guys. They (and you) look like they had a blast, and I live the last pic of the two of them sticking their heads out of the tent.
Also when did Bitsy get so big!

We all had a great time! They were being so cute in the tent, I have to get that pic framed!

Bitsy is a gigantic monster. She is almost 40 pounds and she's 6 months. She is as tall as Pinkie now and shows no signs of slowing down her growth. Her mom was only 30 pounds and dad is around 50, so I have no clue what's going on with her lol.

I cant believe she's already 40 pounds, I still feel like it was only a month or two ago that you just got her lol. Do you think she's going to be around 50 pounds when she's full grown? I forget is she full aussie?

That photo would look great framed.

Love the photos, everyone looks like they are enjoying their selves : )

I would love to go camping! There is a lake I love, but it's still a bit too cold for that in my little section of Idaho, (camping there would be at 8,100 feet above sea level...and there's still snow showing on the mountainside)

I don't know if Jaya would do well on a camping trip, but I think HaHa would enjoy it. It would be interesting to try it with them though. Jaya might surprise me and not be as feral like if she was in unfamiliar territory with her 'anchors' me and HaHa with her to make her feel safe.
