By "affordable" my price range is $100 max. It's for a beagle, so the size can be pretty small. He's chewed through every bed he's had thus far, so I'm hesitant to spend a lot of money on another, but I figure if I spend money then maybe the quality will be better.

How old is your dog? My dog used to chew EVERY bed I gave her and then one day, she didn't. She grew out of it, I'm guessing?

What about a Kuranda bed? They are great for the summer time, easy to clean, and you can just toss a blanket on top if you'd like.

Like Aspen726's dog, my beagle grew out of chewing beds. I don't personally use the Kuranda bed but they are popular in kennels and dogs seem to love them.

Beagle Beds

So my zoe is part beagle- at least we guess- and we have found that when she is ripping apart her toys or bed she instantly goes for the seams (whether internal or external) and she uses her front teeth and paws to rip things apart with the precision of a surgeon. I have not found anything she cannot get apart (she is one that chews apart black kong balls as well).

I am hesitant about the k9 ballistics bed because it seems to be of a noisier material and not super soft so she won't go near it at all because she is high anxiety and that would be scarey

I think it must be in the breed! lol

But I'm pretty sure we decided to take the plastic part out of his crate, so that it's open bottom, and put it on top of a large cozy dog mat. Seeing as the crate would be placed on it (like a carpet), I don't think he would be able to do it much harm.

And even if he does, it's only $30 and it's something we haven't tried yet XD

Has anyone ever order from buntypetproducts.co.uk? I have just seen a Facebook post for 50% off with a code "LOVECUSTOMERS". There stuff seems pretty well priced already and its all half price.
