Hungry dog!

I have a 6 year old cockapoo who acts like he has a food addiction. He eats wellness kibble/wet since he's a few months old but we always need to add human food for him to eat it. I'm thinking of switching his food to something more delicious for him, but I also don't want to be feeding him garbage with too many fillers in it. Suggestions? PS: writing this so early in the morning as we found a big piece of Jarlsberg cheese in the bed from the garbage :)

If he is fit and not under eating than I like Shandula's advice, " He's training you very well. If you always add human food, I doubt it will matter what you serve him, he's going to wait for the good stuff."

If you don't want to put the human food in with his regular food than just stop adding it. The dog will eat when it is hungry even if it takes a bit of time at first. Place his bowl out with his regular food and if the dog doesn't eat it in short order, put it away and try again at the next feeding time.
