Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new dog! :)

Rikku is adorable! (and what a fun name) I'm not super familiar with a lot of terrier breeds, but I'd say she looks like some kind of terrier mix - maybe Westie? (West Highland White Terrier) If you're wondering about genetic health concerns, that may be a good breed to start with (maybe some terrier people can chime in?)

I don't know too much about breed specifics, but I know that one generalization of terriers is that they can be more challenging to train - all of that in-born tenacity!

For more feedback on a possible breed/mix ID, try posting in this forum, and include something like "Help with breed ID" in the title.

In any case, she sure is a cutie-pie! (We love seeing pictures on here) :D

Thank you for the reply. She is quick to learn some things, but can be stubborn at times and also likes to challenge me. I may end up doing one of those DNA tests after I research a bit more on their legitimacy.
