Hello!

I have a puppy who is pretty well behaved, however when taking her in or out of the car and on walks I worry about her running off if I drop the lead (she is a terrior!).

Has anybody got any tips on how to secure the lead to my hand/arm so that if I drop the lead I am still able to control her to get the lead back into my hand? Is this a good idea?

I don't want to use the waist lead attachments as I just wanted something discreet and out of the way.

Thanks!

Have you tried a hands-free leash? I have the Jogger hands free from Hurtta and I LOVE it. When I don't feel I have control I can just grab the leash and instant control. It's near impossible to drop the thing. If the dog pulls, it tightens on your hand... my dog is 50 lbs and when he pulls it pulls pretty tight. That's my only complaint--sometimes it's a little uncomfortable.

But your BEST bet is to train a reliable recall.
