I have thought of doing that! There is one close by that I may be able to help out at. I still miss being around horses but I mostly only ever do art of them now. I see Miss Jada from time to time on a rare occasion, and do miss her.

I agree with the shadiness of (some) rescues. I used to follow a rescue based in Ohio. I was on their Facebook page and stuff and they had a LOT of followers. Turns out the owner if being sued for spending I think $50,000 of donated money on things other than the horses.
