My new dog keeps hiding under the bed when he’s anxious and for no reason. Treats sometimes doesn’t work to bring him out. I am not sure what’s wrong. When he’s not playing he likes to sit under our small studying table. It’s easy to call him out to play when under the table, but he won’t come out when he’s under the bed. I thought he wasn’t feeling well, but he was eating and actively playing. This is also a habit with the previous owner.

It's a secure place when he is feeling anxious or overwhelmed. It can take dogs many months to settle in completely. If you don't already I'd get him a crate and crate train him. Many dogs feel secure in a crate and will go to it when overwhelmed.
