Having lots of critters can be both rewarding and exhausting. There is a difference between the joy of a full house for animal lovers, and addiction to keep on adding animals. Addiction can lead to hoarding or similar, and can end up in a situation that is not so good for the animals involved.
I have a bunch of critters, not going to add more but enjoy the ones I have, they add so much happiness to my life.
