Yesterday my 14 year old dog let out a horrible cry and yellow foam cam out her nose. She was distressed, having a hard time breathing and her tongue was blue. I rushed her to the vet. They took x-rays found no blockage, nothing in her stomach... any no answers. Any ideas as to what could have happened? Anybody?

They x-rayed her lungs, stomach and they were clear. The vet did say her liver looked a bit large. But my dog did have blood work done just a couple months ago and everything was normal.

I'm wondering if she was poisoned and threw up while she was sleeping, but it came out her nose? She was absolutely fine an hour before. Playful even.

I'm not quite sure what the episode even was. Sounds like bile, she could have thrown up and it can come out the nose. But, if your vet was concerned about the size of the liver then they should have suggested an ultrasound and bloodwork.

Agreed with Pawz, you need to have your vet re-check the bloodwork. Bloodwork results can change very quickly, esspecially if you suspect poisoning. My sheltie once had his liver try to give out on him. He started having chattering his teeth which turned into sudden convusions and threw up bile. Thankfully my parents were observant of his behavior and took him to the e-vet as soon as the teeth chatering started.
