Hello users of DogForum. :)

My 12 year old dog, Mejse, and I are going to be moving out on the 1st of May. The move is due to some familial issues in which my stepfather no longer wants to be housing me, which has forced me to find another place to live. Seeing as Mejse has been my best friend and companion for so many years, I am not able to leave her behind with my stepfather. This is especially true because she's been diagnosed with cancer, so I obviously want to give her the best possible ending to her life, which I don't see happening, unless she gets to live with me.

Seeing as I'm still a young individual myself, my monetary situation is extremely limited, as I'm currently studying to become a school teacher. Therefore, I honestly don't have the money to pay bills, taxes, food for myself and my dog.

All there is left to say is thank you for taking the time and consideration to read this post. :)

Where do you live? Many large shelters and humane societies have pet food banks. There are other organizations that help with this too. In fact I work at a shelter in the department that helps people in situations like this.

I live in Denmark, as is stated on the funding page. :)
I've researched whether or not there were any local initiatives that I could utilize in order to get the much needed support, but as far as I can tell, no such services are to be found anywhere nearby.

I'm about to write a post similar to the initial one in this thread on a Danish dog board, so perhaps some of the members there will be able to guide me in the right direction, considering the possibility of finding some help locally.

Thanks for your consideration. :)
