Hi,

My SIL just got a shih tzu puppy. The lady that sold it said that it was 6 weeks old. However, we compared it to my new Shih Tzu puppy and it is much smaller and only has 2 top teeth.

My SIL tried to give it some milk replacement and said it only ate about a tsp and it also ate only 1 small bite of soft dog food.

I'm guessing the puppy is only 3-4 weeks old. Should she bottle feed it or make a puppy mush?

Call a vet and ask. They might need to see it in person because the pup could be under the age said, or maybe it just hasn't developed properly. Hard to say. I'd consider this an emergency though because if he is that young he needs help fast.
