Help needed picking size for harness

693 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Samson5261
So, i have a year and a half old Dutch Shepherd. I am getting him a harness, and have chosen the Julius K9 IDC Powerharness. The reviews on it in person and online have been mostly positive, so i'm giving it a go! However, he fits two sizes, and i am unsure which i should get.

He weighs 57lbs and measures 27" around the girth. That means he fits size 0 (23-30") and size 1 (25-33"). I am wondering, which would be better? I am slightly concerned about the smaller one, but also don't want it to be huge and uncomfortable.

Any imput is appreciated. :) Thanks!

My dog rocky is 55lbs with a girth of 27in. I went with the size 1 and am very happy with it. I am glad that i went with the large because i think the smaller size would of maxed out to fit him and the large leaves room to adjust.

Awesome! Thanks! I was leaning toward that for the same reasons, now i know :) Rocky is very similar in body to mine, so i think it will work good. Thanks for the response.
Echoing to go with the larger size. Since he's only 1 1/2 years old he's going to fill out more so the larger size will leave him some room to grow.
As soon as i can figure out how to get back to the enhanced mobile version i can post a pic of Rocky in his harness. It won't let me post on my phone in the old version.
