Great Dane or English Mastiff puppy?????

hello all, I am new to this forum and really looking for answers! I have recently purchased what was believed to be an English mastiff pup! His name is Theo and he is the cutest!

however, although I was convinced he is an English mastiff, I have some concerns as to if this is true or not. I have included some pictures of him alone as well as with my 8 year old full English mastiff. Experienced owners; is this a Great Dane or mastiff pup?

His features like long snout and large ears point me to thinking he is a Great Dane, but I cannot be too sure! Unfortunately, I do not have his papers, PLEASE HELP!!!

Definitely English Mastiff. He doesn't look anything like a Great Dane.

In the second photo he looks very like a Dane to me. In the others Mastiff. Maybe a cross? I could think of a lot worse, both breeds have great temperaments. I think it will become obvious as he grows, if he's a cross of the two he'll be huge. He's gorgeous!
