Hi everyone,

I have a rescue dog (terrier mix) that I rescued this past October and she stays inside. She has full access to her doggy door so she can come and go as she pleases in and out of our back yard. Lately, when my husband leaves to go out of town she has decided to poop on my dining room carpet. She'll poop on floor then run out the doggy door!! :( It's as if she knows she's going to get in trouble! :eyeroll: I've purchased a spray that is supposed to deter her from pooping in areas but it does not work. Any suggestions would be great!!

Hmmmm, odd. Trying to figure this one out for ya.

So, when your hubby goes out of town does your dog poop ONE time in the house right after he leaves.... or more often while he is gone??

Also how old is your dog?

Was she potty trained when you adopted her... or did you guys train her? And if you guys trained her, was it your or your hubby that trained her initially?

I'm wondering whether you regularly take your dog out for walks. My dog, also a rescue dog, only poops when I take him out for walks. He never poops in the backyard. I take him out on two walks a day, and he almost always poops both times. Maybe she needs more walks to get her system going?
