My wife and I recently were given a 7 year old Pomeranian named Bailey. We have always helped take care of dogs growing up, but this is the first dog we can truly call our own. He is a very good dog, but he requires a lot more love and attention than his previous owners were able to give him. Since my wife, myself and my father-in-law who we live with are all disabled and home most of the time, his previous owners thought we'd be the perfect match. He looks like most Pomeranians but has little black tufts of fur on his back by his neck. It almost makes him look like a miniature German Shepherd if you look at him from the right angle. My father-in-law has a dog of his own, a Miniature Poodle named Spike who is almost 13 years old. The the two dogs get along very well and in the month we've had Bailey we've noticed that they've picked up each other's bad habits. I hope to be active here and learn about and share things about my dog. I also am looking forward to hearing other people's dog stories.
Hope to get to know some of you soon.

Ray

Welcome to the forum! I may be biased but I think you made a fantastic pick. Poms are such personable, happy little dogs. Our guy is 11 this year and still motoring around like he was when he was younger. You might have also noticed that they pick up very fast on training... so fast, they can even train themselves! :D

Enjoy the forum!

Thanks

I would like to thank everyone for all the hellos and welcome messages. Having a dog of our own is the best thing that has every happened to us besides getting married and our daughter and I hope to share many stories about Bailey with all of you.
