Hi all, we rescued a pit about a month ago and she's been doing wonderful. She just recently had a litter so her nips/belly hang a bit. About a week ago she developed what I'm pretty sure is a heat rash, it's only on her lower belly where it folds. It wasn't too bad at first, but now it's pretty angry looking and the hydrocortisone doesn't seem to be doing much. I read that I shouldn't be using it more than three days so I'm not sure what else to use. We gave her a Benadryl yesterday and that didn't do much but make her sleepy. I also bathed her with a gentle anti-itch shampoo and dried her well. It doesn't seem to be bothering her very much, but it's still very red. What else can I do to help her?? Thank you!

I think you would want her vet to look at it. A rash could be anything, might take a while to go away, but I would want to make sure it wasn't something different that needed a different med. I hope it is better soon for her!
