My dog has been shedding A LOT lately, usually she rarely sheds. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I feel like her hair is thinning. Not in patches or anything, just thinning in general. I know fall is here, but I live in Tucson so the day time temperature hasn’t really changed. Aside from the shedding, her behavior and eating habits are exactly the same as they’ve always been. She is 4 years old and nothing like this has happened in previous years.
I’ve been noticing this for the past month or two. I am pregnant, so I’m wondering if it’s a normal response to that or if its something I should take her to the vet for?

The usual suspects would be parasites (fleas, lice, mites, tiks), or allergies. ANY change to her usual rhythm, food or whatever would be something to consider.

There are also a wide (WIDE) range of diseases that can result in skin conditions so to be safe I would advise taking the dog to a vet for a checkup.
