my gsd is 5 months, hes great during the day, will wine to go out for a pee and poo etc, never does it inside. But at 11pm i let him out before i go to bed. By 11:30pm hes already pooed in my hall? I just dont get it? he poos and pees in the hall where he sleeps all night? I wake up and there like 5 piles of poo waiting for me, it's driving me nuts. But he knows hes done wrong as he wont look at me and wines?

The vet has checked him out and says hes fine, he can hold it for 2-3 hours during the day, so why not at night?

Everyone goes on about a dog create, but my hall is so tiny i cant fit one in big enough for him.

Anyone any ideas as i really havent a clue what to do.

No. Dogs do not understand right/wrong. Only safe/dangerous.

He understands that you are upset in the mornings and he is responding to that.

Three piles? What food are you using? He might be on a heavy filler food and simply can't hold it.

also if he is pooping and your not seeing it you are not supervising the dog. If you want to fix this you need to supervise him all the time or start crate training.

Can I ask if he is on a feeding schedule or if he has food available to him all day long? My dogs get fed twice a day, since yours is only 5months you might want to do 3 times a day...but always about the same time. This will get him pottying on a schedule as well. Ask your vet or go by the bag of food you are buying for the total amount of food your pooch should have each day and then divide that by the number of feedings you plan on doing a day.

Also you pup probably goes in the hall where he sleeps because there is still room for him to relieve himself in one part and sleep in the other. That is why most people who crate train use partitions as well so they can take away or give more space as needed.

If crate training is not an option for you, you may want to consider having him sleep in the room with you so he can notify you if he needs to go out or try a smaller space, maybe the bathroom.
