Does he have a job to do? Or is he just a pet that goes outside to play and then back inside? Brittanys are hunting dogs, and high energy ones at that. I would suggest finding him a 'Job' to do, be it just nose games, or a doggie backpack on walks(Loaded down with water bottles) or even agility or flyball. It sounds to me like he's bored, and is finding ways to burn off his energy.

You wonderful people have helped me before and I hope you all can help me again! My American Brittany older puppy (10 months old) always runs everywhere and it drives me crazy! He is well exercised, but this behavior happens no matter if he's sat in his kennel for 8 hours or been running outside all day long.
When I let him out of his kennel, he bolts to the living room, if we're on the couch just relaxing, he keeps running around pushing and picking up things in his way. He has a new game where he figured out that if he runs fast enough and jumps on the rug, it will slide across the wood floor. So we'll be hanging out as most people do in their homes and there goes Batona, surfing through the kitchen on our area rug :rofl:
He has a great "sit/stay" and "down/stay", but no matter how long I have him stay, as soon as I give him his release he's up and running again. He also knows "wait" and he will wait for his release to get out of his kennel, to go through doors, for his food and water, and for pretty much whatever I want him to "wait" for. There's no middle for him, it's 0 or 60!
Do you think this is just him being a high energy puppy or is this something I can "fix"? It doesn't really make me that upset, it's more or less just inconvenient and annoying sometimes!
