pls help! how do i train my 4-month german shepherd to behave? i know that likes of them are really playful and get attention by destroying stuff around them if they're isolated. Mine does it by biting and i want him to stop. pls help.:ponder: thanks!

Have you tried yelping loudly when he bites (is it full bite, or just mouthing?) and don't give him attention for 10 secs, then resume playing with him, repeat each time he bites/nips, he'll soon learn the lesson.

Just like UnDeadKnight said, try yelping, that is how they learn to not bite hard on their litter mates whenever they're born. Also have you considered enrolling your pup in puppy classes? Its a great way to bond with your pup and help them get socialized and learn proper manners.

I think hes talking about chewing stuff up guys. Not mouthing.

Do you have a dog crate? Do they have apropriate items to chew on? What do you do when you leave? How are they confined/isolated?
