I noticed these funny lumps on my dogs paws the other day. He has them on both the front paws, but not the back ones. He isn't limping and he doesn't seem too agitated by them, but they do seem to be getting worse. The vet said they look like ingrown hairs and to do an epsom salt soak. We will definitely do that but I wanted to see if anyone else had ever seen these on their dog, and if so, what worked to get rid of them. Thanks!

In your other thread you are inquiring about some night time disturbance from your dog, and I am wondering if those cysts and the other issue might be related. If your dog has arthritis it might cause him to put weight on his paws differently, causing hair to break off, which then turn into ingrown hair causing these cysts. I like the idea of giving epsom salt treatments to help with the cysts (possibly preventing painful infections), however the reason for the cysts needs to be treated as well.
